February 9, 2012

I have been in the veterinary field for 24 years, but wanted to find something to supplement my income that would be satisfying, fun and still be working with animals. Taking the Dog Trainer classes at North Florida PAWS was very rewarding and informative.  Becoming a dog trainer is a wonderful way to help strengthen relationships and communication between dogs and their owners.

Katie Rooney is a phenomenal instructor, and teaches completely using the Positive Reinforcement methods.  She offers a wealth of information, which makes it fun and easy to learn how to work with not only with dogs, but with their owners also.  The course covers everything from the concept of how dogs learn, Positive reinforcement techniques, behavior modification, all the way through to setting up your business as a dog trainer.

The dog trainer classes at North Florida PAWS, were a great experience, and opened my eyes to a wonderful and worthwhile new career.

Sincerely,

Vicki Waldren
